All the effin' chads and the dimples have been counted and the winner has been declared in the Super Tuesday primaries, and the winner is: the media. Nice! With no candidate carving out a decisive victory, it appears that the Republican Primaries will continue to be relevant all the way up to the convention in Tampa Bay in August continuing to provide grist to the media mill for the next five and a half months.
Super Tuesday had looked to be primed for a big Cthulhu victory, until a new last minute set of attack ads raised serious doubts about the big guy's ability to connect with the common voter (in a non-carnivorous manner).
Overall, with 419 delegates available Tuesday, the breakdown was:
Mitt Romney: 127
Cthulhu: 88
Snagglepuss: 77
Rick Santorum: 60
Newt Gingrich: 51
Ron Paul: 15
UFO Phil: 1
All the candidates are concerned about being forced to a brokered convention, with the exception of UFO Phil who commented "Can you keep a secret? Your blog is stupid. The world isn't going to end. Unless Zax Xon wants it to." Are you sure about that Phil? Right!
