A Sticky Wicket

Rain in Canberra forced the cancellation of the Australia PM XI cricket match versus Sri Lanka, spoiling singer Tasmania Fame's cricket playing debut. Sri Lankan cricketeer Kumar Sangakkara has denied all involvement with the inclement weather stating "I would welcome the opportunity to play against, what's his name again?"

This seems to be a part of the same storm system which has been wracking Japan lately, piling up more than 4 meters of snow in parts of the country with a death toll of 56. You can read more about the storm here. The snows have been particularly concentrated in the Aomori Prefecture, home of Mount Osore, Japan's famed Dread Mountain.

Heck, maybe later this year when you tour Asia you can stay at the Hotel of Doom en route to your visit to Dread Mountain. Fun times in Asia today!
